Per the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Guidelines for Responsible Conduct for Behavior Analysts, “behavior analysts do not solicit testimonials from current clients or patients or other persons who because of their particular circumstances are vulnerable to undue influence.”
Testimonials are solicited from former clients as a part of Behave Your Best’s commitment to client satisfaction. Former clients receive an electronic request for feedback approximately 8 weeks after they are no longer receiving services. Unsolicited testimonials are often received on Behave Your Best’s website, or Facebook page from current and former clients. When completing our evaluation form, current or former clients may choose to remain anonymous if they give BYB permission to use their words in marketing or advertising. BYB publishes only parent first name and last initial when permission is provided.
Testimonials from former clients must identify whether they were solicited or unsolicited, include an accurate statement of the relationship between the behavior analyst and the author of the testimonial, and comply with all applicable laws about claims made in the testimonial. Behavior analysts may advertise by describing the kinds and types of evidence-based services they provide, the qualifications of their staff, and objective outcome data they have accrued or published, in accordance with applicable laws.
Any unsolicited emails are not published and permission to use them isn’t requested until after a client is no longer receiving services from BYB.
Testimonials with a single asterisk * are solicited and those with a double asterisk ** are unsolicited.
